NE1 Magazine

After 40 editions of the magazine the client was looking for a design refresh. The physical size of the magazine and story count was to remain the same but the rest could all be updated.

I was careful not to go too extreme in terms of redesign as it still had to be recognisable as the same product, and this was a main factor in the brief from the client.

I looked to make better use of the space on the cover with additional cover lines allowing the magazine to showcase more of the content at first glance. The font was also changed to something more rounded to remove some of the corporate feel of the previous version.

Columns and features were changed to be bespoke every time dependant on the content which stopped the product having such a templated look.

Work produced as part of the Offstone Publishing team.
